Lisa Kay Malek, the owner of Allegro Piano Studio, has been teaching piano performance and music theory since 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is currently working on her master's degree. With a deep passion for music and teaching, Lisa has successfully instilled a love for the piano in many students over the years. She knows how to connect with students and adapts her teaching methods to ensure their success in both piano performance and music theory.
Lisa is an active member of several prestigious music organizations, including the San Antonio Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association, the Texas Music Teachers Association, the American College of Musicians and the Crownridge Music Club. She continually improves her teaching by attending seminars and conferences. In 2011, she had the honor of serving as a judge for the San Antonio Achievement Auditions and currently holds the position of Recital Coordinator for the San Antonio Music Teachers Association.
Her students benefit from numerous performance opportunities throughout the year, including bi-yearly studio recitals, participation in the annual TMTA Theory Test at UTSA, the NFMC Gold Cup Festival in February, and the San Antonio Music Teachers Association Achievement Auditions. Lisa's dedication to her students' musical growth is evident in her ongoing commitment to providing a well-rounded music education.
